It started with
my own tattoos.

The Ink Cure started with a problem I kept running into every time I got a new tattoo.
I’m a mechanic. I spend my days around grease, oil, dirt, and tools. Keeping a fresh tattoo clean in that environment wasn’t easy, especially when I didn’t have soap within reach. I’ve dealt with tattoos becoming infected, and I wanted an aftercare routine I could keep up with.
After each tattoo, I was piecing that routine together: antibacterial soap, then lotion, then a balm. When my tattoos were peeling, rubbing in lotion made the flaking and ashy look more frustrating.
That’s where the idea for The Mist came from—a moisturizing spray I could apply without rubbing lotion into my skin.
I wanted the whole routine to be just as straightforward. So I’m building The Ink Cure around three steps: The Cleanse, a foaming cleanser; The Mist, a moisturizing spray; and The Cure, an aftercare balm.
